Confidentiality Policy
How Zenith Academia limits access to and disclosure of client identity, manuscripts, data, and research communications.
1. Information covered
Confidential information may include client identity and contact information, unpublished manuscripts, datasets, proposals, reviewer correspondence, project plans, financial terms, and information identified as confidential or reasonably understood to be confidential.
2. Purpose limitation
Information is used only to respond to an inquiry, assess or deliver an agreed service, communicate about the work, protect legal rights, or meet a valid legal obligation. It is not sold or disclosed for unrelated commercial use.
3. Access and disclosure
Internal access should be limited to individuals who need it for the agreed work. Disclosure to a service provider or collaborator should occur only when reasonably necessary, appropriately authorized, and consistent with agreed terms. Legal disclosure may be made when required by a valid obligation.
4. Protection and limits
Reasonable handling safeguards should be used, but absolute confidentiality cannot be promised for third-party communication, internet transmission, or systems outside company control. WhatsApp, hosting, payment, and other providers have their own practices.
5. Return, deletion, and retention
The client may request return or deletion of materials after completion. We retain materials only as long as reasonably needed to deliver the agreed service, meet legal or contractual duties, and resolve service issues. Clients may request return or deletion after completion, subject to those duties. Records may be retained where required by law or a legitimate contractual purpose.
6. Exceptions and agreements
Confidentiality obligations do not cover information that is demonstrably public without breach, already lawfully known, independently developed, or lawfully received without restriction. Clients may request an NDA before sharing materials; its terms must be agreed in writing. See the Privacy Policy and Research Data Protection Policy.
